Buck Island Reef National Park

Buck Island Reef National Park (off of St. Croix) – this is another eco-tourist destination. This one happens to be on an uninhabited island that has its own underwater national park (the only one in the world). Divers can discover vivid elkhorn coral reefs, 250 species of tropical fish, marine plants and rock grottoes. This park’s Turtle Beachgot its name from the various species of turtles found there (such as Leatherback turtles, Green turtles, and Hawksbill turtles). Hours: Sunrise to Sunset (closed from sunset to sunrise to protect nesting sea turtles that come ashore at night.) Free admission.
